I Currently own a 1982 Datsun 280ZX 2+2. I bought it in September 1997 and I am hoping to fully restore it this summer. It is black w/gold pinstripes and has smoked glass t-tops. It has a tan leather interior and power windows and door locks. It also has cruise control and it talks too. The engine is the L28E straight-six. It puts out 145 bhp stock. It has a 5-speed manual transmission and has very good acceleration. I plan on keeping it relatively stock. I will soon have pictures up of it both before and after restoration.
Repairs
So far I have had to replace my rear brake pads, one of the rear calipers(seized up on me), and a warped rotor(due to the caliper seizing up). I also had to replace the pads again. I had to buy a new battery for it too.
Interior
I don't think the interior had been cleaned in a long time. I went over the vinyl quickly w/soap and water and it looked a lot better. Since I don't have a heated garage so I will have to wait till summer to do a better job. I cleaned the leather with Eagle One Leather Cleaner and conditioned it with the Eagle One Conditioner. It worked very well.
